For Indian residents
Our client relationship officer connects with you to explain the process and provide the documents to be filled and submitted.
Once the signed documents are submitted, we acknowledge receipt and initiate the account-opening process.
If all physical documents are in order, your demat account is opened within 3–4 working days.
You transfer funds and/or securities of a minimum of ₹50 lakh to the pool account below, or transfer existing listed and liquid securities from a demat account already in your own name (we will share a Client Master List for your broker, and need the date and cost of acquisition for our records).
Once funds or securities are received, we confirm the same to your registered email address. Your account is now activated, and signed copies of all documents are delivered to your registered address.
For Non-Resident Indians
Our client relationship officer connects with you to explain the process and provide the requisite documents.
You will need an NRE/NRO account with HDFC Bank. Existing HDFC customers receive an NRE & NRO extension form; where Re-KYC is due, self-attested or notarised KYC documents are required.
Your demat account is opened with Nuvama Wealth and Investment Limited. If all documents are in order, the bank and demat account are opened within 7–10 working days.
Transfer funds and/or securities of a minimum of ₹50 lakh. Bank details are shared once your account is open. For a securities transfer from your own existing demat account, we require the original NOC/letter from your previous bank, your latest holding statement, and your latest demat holding statement, all with stamp and signature.
Once funds or securities are received, we confirm the same to your registered email address, and your account is now activated.
KYC details you’ll be asked for, per applicant
No management fee, performance linked only.
Unlike most competitors, we do not charge a management fee. Instead, we charge a performance fee of 12.5%, shared only on profit above the high water mark.
The profit share applies only to new profit. If the portfolio falls, we earn nothing on the recovery until it has passed the highest value on which a share was last taken, so you never pay twice for the same gain. Brokerage, custody, statutory charges and GST apply in addition and are set out in full in the Disclosure Document.
The promoters invest their own capital through the identical portfolio, at the same time, on the same terms as our clients.
When you have a question about a holding, you speak to the person who decided to buy it.
A Portfolio Management Services account is a customised investment account managed by professional fund managers, backed by a research team, on behalf of the client to generate optimum returns on their investments. A PMS account is regulated by SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020, as amended from time to time, and includes discretionary, non-discretionary and/or advisory services. Under discretionary service, the decision to buy and sell securities, and the execution of trades, lies wholly with the portfolio manager. Under non-discretionary service, the decision lies wholly with the investor, and the fund manager only suggests investment ideas and executes trades according to the investor’s final decision. Under advisory service, the fund manager advises the investor, but the decision and execution lie wholly with the investor.
According to SEBI regulations, the minimum investment amount under Portfolio Management Service is ₹50 lakh. This amount is to be maintained since the beginning of the investment.
Resident Indians, Non-Resident Indians, individuals, and non-individuals such as HUFs, partnership firms, sole proprietorships or any other corporate body can invest in Indian equities, provided the investor submits all the physical documents and details required to open a portfolio account. Necessary guidance and assistance is provided to the client in this regard.
A separate bank account is not opened in the client’s name; instead, we operate a pooled bank account with IndusInd Bank in the company’s name, into and from which client funds are deposited and withdrawn. A demat account is opened with Nuvama Wealth and Investment Limited for all resident clients.
An Indian resident can have a joint account holder for their PMS account, and up to three nominees for their demat account.
Clients can transfer listed and liquid securities into their demat account with KRIIS from a demat account already in the client’s own name. The client informs us at info@kriis.in of the transfer, along with the date and cost of acquisition of those securities. The fund manager takes the final call on which stocks are to be transferred; we then provide the client with a Client Master List to be forwarded to the broker to initiate the transfer. Once the securities reflect in the client’s demat account, confirmation is sent to the client’s registered email address.

Opening a PMS account involves physical submission of the necessary documents, subject to verification by us and by Nuvama. There are no exit load charges on closing a PMS account.
According to SEBI regulations, the minimum investment amount under Portfolio Management Service is ₹50 lakh, to be maintained since the beginning of the investment.
Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba and Sudan are currently restricted/not permitted for PMS investment.
Every NRI needs a PAN card and a bank account for investment-related transactions. An NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) account holds funds from both India and abroad; an NRE (Non-Resident External) account holds only foreign funds. NRO funds are repatriable up to $1 million a year (with 15CA/15CB certificates); NRE funds are fully repatriable. Both require a PIS (Portfolio Investment Scheme) account with RBI permission.
Client NRE/NRO bank accounts are opened with HDFC Bank only, managed by a custodian. Existing HDFC customers are provided an extension form; where Re-KYC is due, self-attested or notarised KYC documents are required.
With HDFC custodial service, third-party risk is eliminated: the bank pays the stock exchange directly, and the exchange credits securities directly to the client’s demat account, and vice versa on selling, excluding the need for a broker account to transfer funds.
Client demat accounts are opened with Nuvama Wealth and Investment Limited, requiring self-attested KYC documents in original.
Subject to verification by us, the bank and Nuvama, the bank and demat account are opened within 7–10 working days once all documents are in order. Once activated, signed copies of all documents are delivered to the client’s registered address.
Any NRI or Indian citizen can be the joint account holder or nominee on the client’s account.
Funds can move between NRO accounts, but not from NRO to NRE; NRE funds, being freely repatriable, can move to either an NRO or NRE account. Transfers by cheque or wire are informed to us at info@kriis.in, with confirmation sent once received.
